Six-Month Mission

Tactical Logistics

From July collection to December delivery, our structured timeline ensures every shelter wish list is met with precision and care. Operation Bark Drop is much more than a one-day event. It is a mission that begins months before the holidays.

July: Collection Begins

September: Wish Lists & Sorting

Oct/Nov: Staging & Routes

December: Bark Drop Day

Community donations of pet food, toys, and supplies kick off the annual drive across the region.

Additional supplies are collected, sponsorships continue to grow, pallets are organized, delivery routes are finalized, and volunteers prepare for Bark Drop Day.

Before sunrise, Elf Team Six, the Bark Brigade, members of West Windsor Police PBA Local 271, their families, and community volunteers gather wearing their signature blue Santa hats. Christmas music fills the air as volunteers unload storage PODS, form assembly lines, and load moving trucks and trailers. Rain, snow, wind, or freezing temperatures, the mission goes on because hungry pets cannot wait.

Volunteers sort, organize, and inventory donations. Partner shelters and rescues provide holiday wish lists, and we work hard to fulfill as many requests as possible. A special thank you to Pawsitively Purrfect for helping purchase many of these needed items.

ELF TEAM SIX

Rain, Snow, or Freezing Temperatures

On Bark Drop Day, our dedicated volunteers and first responders ensure that no pet waits. The mission goes on.

Every December, Elf Team Six reports for duty.

Alongside the Bark Brigade, members of the West Windsor Police PBA Local 271, their families, and countless volunteers work together to make sure pets do not go hungry during the holiday season.

No matter the weather, the mission always gets completed.
